Erin Elisabeth Margaret Hatton was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Raised by a loving, close-knit, Christian family, she had a rich imagination and began writing from an early age on scrap paper and an old electric typewriter. Erin has many interests and talents, and so writing was put on the shelf for some time. It was after earning university degrees in Music and Education and giving birth to her first two children that she dusted off the old writing ideas and got serious.
Erin was first published by Highland Press in their romance anthology Blue Moon Magic, and has written several other short stories. She has also completed one novel and has several other projects on the go: a historical based on the real-life adventures of her own ancestors, a young adult fantasy trilogy, and a children's fantasy series. She also has a modest collection of poetry circulating the net.
Erin is an avid reader, and her favourite authors include such varied figures as C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Jane Austen, Anne McCaffrey, Diana Gabaldon, Stephen R. Lawhead, and Orson Scott Card. She is a committed Christian, and her faith directly influences her work, be it romance or fantasy.
Erin resides in Barrie, Ontario with her husband Kevin and four small children.
